Leopard Print - It's In!

I have never been a massive fan of leopard print but in the past, colours were even a push when it came to my wardrobe. If you have been avoiding all shopping or anything to do with fashion this season, you would have seen the array of leopard print items available. I am now majorly in love and feel myself constantly being drawn to anything donning the print in any store.

My first purchase were these super comfy and warm loafers and they got a mixed reaction but I love them and will be great in winter.

Charlie Brown Hangbag

Then I was lucky enough to be sent this handbag for my birthday this month from my Aunty in Perth. I love it and it fits heaps of stuff in it.

Then I tried on this gorgeous coat in Myer and although I didnt purchase it (mainly because of the price) I often think I should go back and snap it up before I miss out. The photo's don't do it justice!

And this is a recent online purchase from EBay that is still to arrive. Waiting for something to arrive is the hardest part of online shopping.

So although it's only a collection in progress, i think i'm well on my way to a fashion obsession. 

Flemington Races

Last Saturday was a get together with some friends from work, one of my besties and some lovely new friends. We headed to Flemington Race course on what seemed to be the day of rain. Luckily we had guest passes for the members so we were indoors.

These are from Famous Footwear and although they were a bargain, look fabulous and they were super comfy when i put them on, I was crippled by the end of the day. I will have to keep them for occasions when I'll mostly be sitting!

Unfortunately, we didn't win big on the horse racing but we did have a great day with wine, chatting and lots of laughter. We were definitely the loudest group there...

Getting Late in the day... Lots of group photos, but not many good ones!



Unfortunately, the bad news for the day was me losing my favourite Amber ring when I left it in the toilets after taking it off to wash my hands. The cleaner aparrently found it but decided it would be best to leave it there. Unfortunately, someone else then got to it before I realised it was gone! Now I'm saving to replace it!

Cupcakes

Today was a Family get together for E's family, for E's Dad's Birthday. Was a great evening with drinks, pizza and good conversation!

Since I had recently attended a cupcake making course, instead of the usual birthday cake we decided I would make cupcakes! Now I am not a novice baker when it comes to a packet mix, but this was the first time I had made them from scratch! And making them for an occasion, I probably got myself worked up more than I should have! There was flour and sugar strewn from 1 end of the kitchen to the other but we got there in the end.

Turns out I did a pretty good job, and from all accounts they were well received. Definitely not many leftover.

I made 2 different recipes. Vanilla choc chip with buttercream icing and carrot cake with walnut and sultana cupcakes with cream cheese icing. They were delicious.
